Born in Japan and raised in the United Arab Emirates, Rawaa Talass is a freelance Syrian writer and journalist, specializing in art and culture from the Middle East and its diaspora communities. She has two Master’s degrees in art history from the University of Kent (Paris) and the School of Oriental and African Studies (London). Based in Dubai, her writings have been featured in Artsy, The Art Newspaper, Arab News, The New Arab, AD Middle East, Canvas Magazine, Kayhan Life, Al Arabiya English and The National UAE.
